Who doesn't love getting a letter in the mail? But when's the last time you wrote one?
Letter Nerds is a letter-writing club dedicated to resurrecting hand-written letters in Alaska and beyond. Because you can't save a shoebox full of Tweets.
OUR GOAL: Meet twice a month in Anchorage for two hours of old-fashioned, pen-and-paper, letter-stamping, thank-you-note writing, grandma-pleasing correspondence.

Meeting every two weeks this fall. You're invited!
- WHEN: Our next meeting is 3 p.m., SUNDAY, Feb. 3, 2012.
- WHERE: Kaladi Brothers coffee, 621 W. 6th Ave., Downtown Anchorage, Alaska.
- WHAT TO BRING: A pen or pencil and paper. The address of someone you want to write to. Fancy envelopes if you please.
- WHY: Because someone in your life would love to get an honest-to-god letter in the mail from you, Mr. Facebook.
- CAN'T MAKE IT? That's cool. Take a couple hours to write letters on your own and send me a note at kyle_hopkins@hotmail.com. Just say how many letters you wrote so we can include you in the total posted here on the website. 10,000 letters = World saved.
